SUSTAINABILITY

At Goose, we’ve been in the business of delivering events for over 30 years and it’s important to us that we create a positive legacy in everything that we do. That’s why we’re committed to ensuring sustainable choices are at the forefront of the decisions we make both for our own business and for the work we do on behalf of our clients.

We have set some ambitious goals to reduce our emissions and our waste footprint within our organisation and across the events we deliver. There is much to do but we are constantly developing our sustainable approach to event planning and delivery and, by working in collaboration with our suppliers, clients, stakeholders, and our own team, we are committed to being part of the climate crisis solution.

OUR AMBITIONS

Emissions

We pledge to:

Halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030 across all company owned operations. To do this, 2022 is our baseline year and we have a year-on-year reduction target of 10%.

Reduce carbon emissions across our event programme as far as possible and by at least 5% year on year.

We will always work to carbon balance emissions in line with client ambitions and will play a leading role in the development of sustainable practices that support sustainable client decision-making.

Waste

We commit to:

Reducing waste across all company owned operations with a view to operating as a Circular Economy business by 2030.

Reducing waste across all event deliveries with a view to operating Circular Events by 2030.

WHEN YOU KNOW BETTER YOU CAN DO BETTER

Through the education, training and tools provided by isla, and the team of sustainability champions across the business who meet on a fortnightly basis to drive the sustainability policy forward, we are focused on:

  • Our office practices.
  • How we create, communicate and deliver event experiences.
  • Inspiring our team to look at different ways to make some permanent sustainable swaps in their personal lives.

Events have an environmental impact but for each of our events we consider their environmental impact and carbon footprint; from the venues we choose, to the materials we use, the food that we serve and how we clean up after ourselves.

As part of our sustainable event planning development, we can now create carbon emissions reports for all our events, using this data to make future events more sustainable – maintaining a big impact on the customer experience, but with a smaller impact on the environment.
